Important: You will need build FileLocator Pro 4.0 build 774 or higher to use the WordPerfect IFilter.
To search WordPerfect documents you need to have the WordPerfect IFilter installed.
If you already have the full version of WordPerfect installed then the IFilter is probably already installed on your machine. However, if you have switched on the WPD extension in the File Type Extensions tab and still find that when searching wpd files 'gibberish' characters appear then you probably do not have the WordPerfect IFilter installed.

For a directory listing of all files available:
ftp://ftp.corel.com/pub/WordPerfect/wpwin/8/Once you have run the installation executable and run the registry changes you should find that the 'gibberish' characters will disappear whenever you switch the WPD extension on.
