Please follow these steps to ensure your shell settings are correct:
1. From the Tools menu select 'Shell Integration...'
2. Make sure the option 'Add FileLocator Pro to a Folder's context menu options' is checked
3. Click OK button
4. Open Windows Explorer and right-click on a folder. FileLocator Pro should now appear.
If the above steps failed to work open the Shell Integration configuration settings again and make sure that the options have 'stuck'.
Shell Integration settings OK but still does not appear as an option in ExplorerIf the Shell Integration dialog shows the settings correctly then it is probably a problem with the machines administrative 'policy'. There is a setting called EnforceShellExtensionSecurity which will only allow approved shell extensions. The list of approved shell extensions is located in the registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Shell Extensions\Approved
Shell Integration settings failed to 'stick'
If every time you open the Shell Integration dialog the settings have been cleared then there is a probably a problem with your FileLocator Pro installation. Please uninstall and reinstall the program following all requests to reboot. If it still fails try to execute:
regsvr32 flproshellext.dll
from the install folder.
